This event is part of the Academy of Migrant Arts – a series of craft workshops from around the world
In this upcoming workshop, we’ll explore Argentine ornamental art – fileteado porteño
It’s a traditional decorative style from Buenos Aires used to embellish favorite objects, buildings, and even vehicles with precisely hand-lettered text and floral motifs
The workshop will be led by Mercedes Alvarenga. She is originally from Paraguay but lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for 21 years. She has been living in Poland for over two years, has a Polish husband, and says she fell in love with Warsaw at first sight. She loves traveling and has already visited 33 countries – with hopes of many more to come!
The workshop will be conducted in Spanish and Polish, with the possibility of English translation. We warmly welcome participants from all over the world – we’re confident we’ll find a way to communicate!
Participation is free, but space is limited. The workshop is intended for adults only.
Advance registration is required via the Polish Migration Forum:
